Description
A pedestal is the support of a statue or a vase and the Romans used them extensively. Although in conquered countries, the Romans occasionally raised the columns of their temples on square pedestals, in Rome itself they were employed only to give greater importance to isolated columns. Eventually, statues of great heroes were placed on pedestals to glorify and show honor to the people. Now, we have taken this practice of placing important people on a pedestal and extended it to an entire form of sports. One example is our Golf Ball Pedestal Trophy. This terrific trophy stands nearly a foot tall (3” x 10.5”) and displays a golf ball resting on a decorative column. Created from a durable resin, this tribute will last for years. An ideal award for team captain, MVP, or MIP, it can also be used as tournament trophy. We will even engrave it for free. Do as the Romans did and honor your athletes with our Golf Ball Pedestal Trophy (item # RFB026).
