Description
Ed Hochuli is a name few people recognize, yet in the fall many people see him every Sunday on TV. Since 1990, Ed has been serving as a referee in the National Football League. Fans recognize Ed’s muscular physique, and many admire his ability to concisely explain calls made by officials. In fact, Ed was voted “best referee” in an ESPN poll of NFL head coaches, an honor he shared with fellow official Mike Carey. Ed’s career in officiating started from humble origins. He began refereeing Pop Warner football games, then high school games, followed by college games in the 1980’s. For those high school and college referees who you know, we offer a memorable award. Our Gold Whistle Award (item WSG1) comes in a wood case. Inside the case, black foam lines the entire interior. A gold whistle and black whistle tip cover rest on the felt. A gold engraving plate is mounted to the lid’s interior, and we will engrave up to four lines for free on the plate.
