Judge Judith Susan Sheindlin never planned to be a television star, Born Oct. 21, 1942, the young woman always wanted to be a lawyer. After she finished her law school education at New York Law School, she earned her Juris Doctor in 1965. However, in 1996, she was offered a chance to appear on TV, and “Judge Judy” was born. Now, twenty years later, she finds herself in the Guinness World Records for hosting the longest running courtroom-themed program in history.
