Despite conflict and controversy, Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County Arizona is probably the most well-known law officer in the U.S. “I’m the elected sheriff, and I’m going to keep doing what the Constitution says I can do,” he recently told officials that disagreed with his methods. Almost 4,000 sheriffs serve the public in America and each one risks life and limb on a daily basis. Those officers deserve an award as tough as they are, and that’s why we have created our Sheriff Plaque (item #HER104). Measuring 10.5” x 13”, the rounded steel plaque has a brown background and chrome trim. A sheriff’s badge appears at the top of the plaque with a silver and black engraving plate below it.
